Sterculia colorata
Common name : Scarlet Sterculia (Sterculia colorata), also known as Bonfire tree, Colored Sterculia and Indian Almond
Origin : Southern Yunnan, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Ceylon (Sri Lanka), south west India eastwards to Burma, Bangla Desh,
Flower colour : bright Orange
Soil : well drained soil
sun/shade : full sun to partial shade
watering : little, only during growing season a bit more
Hardiness :when dormant minimum 5° C
Height : Small tree, up to 15m
Overall information : This is a slow growing caudex plant with beautiful shaped leafs. It is a very strong plant and normally it goes dormant in winter (or dry season). Flowering is possible when the plant has a height of around 150cm. Flowers appear in spring(march-april) on the naked twigs. A great plant that can live for years inside your house or outside in the garden (temp not lower then 5°C)

only healthy (in pot) growing plants. We cut them back and ship them bare root
in a strong cardboard box with Thai registered airmail. EMS is also possible
but prices are on request.
